Over the course of my driving life I had always managed to land myself with a boring car. I never meant to, but I always bought second hand through the paper when I needed a new car, and this meant that the choice of vehicles out there was always pretty slim for me. I always erred on the side of caution, and I felt as if I had to go for something that I knew to be reliable, rather than something that set my heart racing.
The closest I had come in the past to having a fun car was my old Mini. It was only a 1.1 litre engine model, but it was still like a go kart round corners. These days I wouldn’t even consider buying an old Mini, but whilst I was browsing the internet for used cars I saw one of the new Mini’s available for sale at a great price! It was the Mini Cooper and I thought it looked great! Not to mention that it is made by BMW, which of course means great reliability and an almost guaranteed good drive.
I headed straight out to have a look at the car, and the test drive was one of the most enjoyable drives of my life! The car felt great, and you would never have believed that it was four years old. It was so taut and precise, it felt brand new! I didn’t have to think too hard about things after the yest drive, and I bought the car straight away.
